Part 5: Vento Aureo

Released in 1995 to 1999, taking up 17 volumes. Part 5 is set in Italy in 2001 and follows Giorno Giovanna, the son of the now deceased DIO attempt to rise up through the ranks of the gang Passione in order to fulfill his dream of becoming a Gang Star. To aid him in this is the Passione Capo Bruno Bucciarati, who allows Giorno to join his team. Together, Giorno and his stand Gold Experience, as well as Bruno and his team work their way through Passione.

Gold Experience Requiem

Giorno Giovanna dreams of becoming a Gang Star. Being the son of DIO, he had no father figure to look up to until he saved the life of a gang member when he was younger, who then protected him. This gave him the inspiration to join the gang Passione and become the Boss. His stand, Gold Experience, allows Giorno to give life to inanimate objects like bricks or bags, or to heal people. Early on in the Part he also has a damage reflection technique, as well as the ability to cause a person's senses to go haywire.

Bruno Bucciarati

Sticky Fingers

Bruno Bucciarati is a member of Passione. After being a regular member for a while, he eventually becomes a Caporegime after a certain accident. Once he becomes Capo, he and his assembled team are tasked by the Boss to take care of his daughter, Trish and to bring her to him. His stand, Sticky Fingers has the power to attach zippers to things and separate them, such as walls; or in more extreme examples, parts of people's bodies.

Leone Abbacchio

Moody Blues

Leone Abbacchio is a member of Passione. After being fired as a cop due to corruption, he is found by Bucciarati and joins Passione. While Abbacchio is very hot headed and keen to follow orders, he slowly antagonises Giorno less as the part goes on. His stand, Moody Blues, allows him to view the actions of a person by creating an exact copy of the actions through a rewind, which allows him to learn information about mysterious stand abilities.

Narancia Ghirga

Aerosmith

Narancia Ghirga is a member of Passione. After living on the streets due to an eye infection and running from home, he is found by Fugo and Bucciarati who admit him to hospital. After Narancia joins Passione on his own terms, he ends up working with them before the start of the Part. His stand, Aerosmith, is equipped with a machine gun and explosives, using a carbon dioxide radar to accurately chase opponents down. Aerosmith is a very dangerous stand due to its large range, speed and fire power.

Guido Mista

Sex Pistols

Guido Mista is a member of Passione. While living a care free life, Mista encounters a situation upon which a woman is being assaulted by four men, and while interfering, shoots every single one of them, and somehow dodges every shot aimed at him. After being released from prison by Bucciarati, he joins Passione and becomes part of Bucciarati's team. Despite being an expert marksman, his stand, Sex Pistols, aim bullets in directions in order to more accurately hit targets. Sex Pistols consists of 6 small independent stands that all have their own personality and appear to exhibit their own behaviour, even if Mista is incapacitated.

Pannacota Fugo

Purple Haze

Pannacota Fugo is a member of Passione. After attending University at a very young age due to his high intelligence, he is arrested after violently assaulting a teacher with a book. He is found by Bucciarati on the streets and is impressed with his intelligence and lets him try to join Passione. Fugo's stand, Purple Haze, is a representation of Fugo's anger as it is incredibly violent but dumb. Purple Haze has 6 capsules on its hands, and if broken contain a highly dangerous toxin that breaks down the body by essentially melting it from the inside out.

Trish Una

Spice Girl

Trish Una is the daughter of the boss of Passione. After travelling with Bucciarati and his team, she eventually awakens her stand after they're all attacked on board an aeroplane by the stand Notorious B.I.G. Her stand, Spice Girl, allows her to soften things, like softening seats so that she can move through, or aimed projectiles to take no damage from them.

Doppio Vinegar

King Crimson - Epitaph

Doppio Vinegar is the most trusted subordinate of the boss of Passione. While Doppio may only appear to be a teenager, he is actually much older than he seems. Doppio talks with the Boss on a reagular basis, and gets all of his orders directly from him, as well as guarding the Boss's greatest secret. Doppio's stand is a gift from the Boss - part of the Boss's own stand, King Crimson, namely Epitaph, King Crimson's future prediction ability where the user can look into the future for 10 second to see what events will occur.

Jean Pierre Polnareff

Silver Chariot

Silver Chariot Requiem

Polnareff returns in Part 5 in order to assist Giorno and his part of the gang to discover the secret of the Boss. Now much older than the events of Part 3, Polnareff had been searching for the origin of the stand arrows since then, but after an encounter with the Boss, he is greatly wounded and loses use of his legs. Now confined to a wheelchair, Polnareff finds Bucciarati's group and informs them of the boss's name - Diavolo. During the events of the Part, Polnareff's stand, Silver Chariot gets pierced with the stand arrow, and transforms it into the mysterious Silver Chariot Requiem, a stand with the sole purpose of keeping the stand arrow safe.

Risotto Nero

Metallica

Risotto Nero is the leader of La Squadra Esecuzioni, a part of Passione. Nero's squad is consistantly at odds with Bucciarati's, and he sends his members to try and intercept them so that they can take Trish to learn the true identity of the Boss. Nero's squad consists of himself, Sorbet, Gelato, Formaggio, Illuso, Pesci, Melone, Ghiaccio and Prosciutto. Nero's stand, Metallica, allows Nero to create metal objects using the iron in the environment, including the iron inside someone.

Polpo

Black Sabbath

Polpo is a Capo in Passione and is one of the members who deal with initiation to the gang. Due to his immense size, Polpo spends his time in a prison cell where it is safer for him to be. Polpo's test for initiation involves keeping a lighter lit for 24 hours without it going out. Relighting the lighter summons Polpo's stand, Black Sabbath, a shadowy stand that can only remain in the shadows. Black Sabbath removes the spirit out of anyone who saw the lighter be relit and stabs it with a stand arrow - either killing them or granting them a stand.

Cioccolata

Green Day

Cioccolata is a member of Passione and is a part of La Unita Speciale, the Boss's elite guard. Cioccolata used to be a doctor, but after it was revealed that he never actually treated his patients and instead slowly tortured them, recording every moment of their pain on video. His stand, Green Day, creates a mold that spreads the higher the level of Cioccolata is. Once a person is infected with the mold, they get infected further until they break down into dust and die. Due to his experience as a doctor, he knows what parts of the body can be removed without any major damage, and then can use Green Day to reanimate the removed body parts to attack individually of Cioccolata. Due to Cioccolata's intense sadism, the Boss rarely uses him, and Cioccolata's human pet, Secco.

Diavolo

King Crimson

Diavolo is the shadowy boss of Passione. While being the father of Trish, even she doesn't know what he looks like and he has a miriad of false names and identities that he has used. Diavolo would like nothing more than to completely erase his identity from the world, but people keep trying to find out who he is. Diavolo's stand is King Crimson, a very strong stand that can forsee 10 seconds into the future, and can also erase time for others, for a 10 second period whereby he removes the cause from an action so people except him are locked into their predetermind actions, but he can fully control his own, and then the period of removed time is removed from all around's memories but the effects of the actions are still valid.
